K V Raju is the recipient of the prestigious K K Birla Fellowship in Economics and the Hubert Humphrey Alumni Award.He was also the first rank holder in M A and MPhil programmes and holds a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the World Famous Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. Prior to joining the dept. Dr.Raju has worked as Market and Trade Analyst at Spices Board and was also the faculty at B M College,Thrikkakara. He is also a research guide for the PhD programme of the M G University and Bharathiar University, MPhil & MBA of IGNOU and also for the MPhil programme of the Vinayaka Mission University. Besides guiding several MPhil and MBA dissertations he has guided tweleve PhDs so far. He is also a question Paper setter for PhD,MPhil, MA and BA programmes of various Universities. He was a Member of the P G Board of Studies of the M G University and also a member of the Panel of subject experts for sanctioning B A and M A Programmes of M G University. He is a member of the Board of Studies in Economics of Maharajas College, Ernakulam, Christ College, Irinjalakkuda and St.Alberts College, Ernakulam. Dr. Raju has completed a UGC Minor project on the volatility of rubber prices in Kerala. Dr.Raju has published more than 70 papers in various journals. He has also published two books namely Higher education in India and Marine products sector in India.
